So it’s the height of the season in Ocean City, Maryland, and you want to take your dog (or cat!) to the beach. They aren’t allowed on the beach in town, but they are allowed nearby! The best options for your furry friend to enjoy the sand are at the secret Stinky Beach in West Ocean City, at Assateague State Park or National Seashore, or on the sandy “beach” of Macky’s or Coconuts, two restaurants that have plenty of room for your pet to enjoy.

Stinky Beach has long been a haven for locals in the summer looking for a little peace and quiet from town, but also a safe place to bring their dogs. Easily accessible from town by going over the Route 50 bridge and finding your way to Route 707 (Old Bridge Road), drive all the way down and you’ll be there! Or just look up Homer Gudelsky Park and follow the navigation, because it’s the same place!
